SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use.
Save these instructions for future reference.
Important safety instructions
The machine is not intended to be used by persons (children or adults) with any form of functional
disorders, or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or knowledge on how to use it, unless
they have received instructions concerning the use of the machine from someone who is responsible
for their safety.
Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the machine.
Check that none of the parts are damaged before use. Do not use the machine if it is damaged.
Check the power cord. A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or
qualified person, to ensure safe use.
The machine must be connected to the mains supply with a residual current device with a maximum
tripping current of 30 mA.
The machine is intended for the detergents recommended by the manufacturer. The use of other
detergents or chemicals can put safety at risk.
Do not use the machine near other persons who are not wearing safety clothing.
High-pressure jets can be dangerous if they are not used properly. Do not point the jet at persons,
live electrical equipment or at the high-pressure cleaner.
Do not point the jet at yourself or any other person, e.g. to clean your clothes or shoes.
Never spray flammable liquids risk of explosion.
Always disconnect the power cord from the mains before carrying out any maintenance or service
on the machine.
Never allow children, or persons who have not read and understood these instructions, to use the
machine.
Only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
Switch off the machine and unplug the power cord before cleaning and/or maintenance.
High-pressure hoses, fittings and couplings are very important parts for the safe use of the machine.
Only use hoses, fittings and couplings recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not use the machine if the power cord or any other important parts, e.g. safety devices, high-
pressure hoses and the trigger handle, are damaged.
Do not use the machine at temperatures lower than 0°C.
Always pull an extension cord all the way out.
An extension cord must be waterproof.
Unsuitable extension cords can cause a fire and/or electric shock.
An extension cord must comply with the following requirements concerning its cross sectional area
and length.
- 1.0 mm² max. 12.5 m
- 1.5 mm² max. 20 m
- 2.5 mm² max. 30 m
Keep power cord connections dry and above ground.
A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to
ensure safe use.
Place the machine on a level, stable surface when in use and during handling, transport and storage.
If the machine tips over or drops it can cause personal injury.
Switch off the machine immediately in the event of problems or malfunctioning. In the event of contact
with detergent, switch off the machine immediately and rinse with lots of water.
NOTE: When starting the machine there may be a temporary voltage drop in the mains supply, which
could affect other equipment. Such interference does not normally occur if the impedance in the
mains supply is less than 0.335 ohm. You may need to contact your electricity supplier for more
information.
An incorrectly connected earthed plug can result in electric shock. Consult an electrician or qualified
technician if you have any questions about electrical connections or earthing.
Never modify the plug in any way. If the plug does not fit the mains socket, contact an authorised
electrician to install an earthed mains socket.
