Function Description

The Hansgrohe PuraVida mixer is designed for bathing, hygienic, and body cleaning purposes. It is equipped with EcoSmart® technology, which acts as a flow limiter to conserve water. The design includes a drain valve that should only be used in basins with an overflow opening.

Hot Water Temperature:

Maximum hot water temperature: 70°C (158°F)
Recommended hot water temperature: 65°C (149°F)
Thermal disinfection: max. 70°C (158°F) for 4 minutes

Flow Rate: The flow diagram (page 33) illustrates the flow rates with and without EcoSmart®.

With EcoSmart®: The flow rate is limited, contributing to water conservation.
Without EcoSmart®: The flow rate is higher, which might be preferred in certain situations or if issues arise with instantaneous water heaters.

Materials: The product is designed for contact with drinking water. It is crucial not to use silicone containing acetic acid during installation, as indicated by the symbol.

Usage Features

Operation: The mixer is operated via a single lever. Moving the lever allows for adjustment of water flow and temperature.

Open/On: Pushing the lever up or to the side will open the water flow.
Close/Off: Pushing the lever down will close the water flow.
Cold Water: Moving the lever to one side (typically right) will dispense cold water.
Warm Water: Moving the lever to the other side (typically left) will dispense warm water.

Water Quality Recommendation: Hansgrohe recommends not using the first half-liter of water drawn in the morning or after a prolonged period of non-use for drinking. This is a general recommendation for maintaining optimal drinking water quality.

EcoSmart® Functionality: The integrated EcoSmart® flow limiter helps reduce water consumption. If a higher flow rate is desired or if there are problems with an instantaneous water heater, the EcoSmart® component, located behind the aerator, can be removed.

Installation Instructions:

Pre-installation Check: Before installation, inspect the product for any transport damage. Damages discovered after installation will not be honored.
Pipe and Fixture Installation: Pipes and the fixture must be installed, flushed, and tested according to applicable standards.
Country-Specific Regulations: Adhere to the installation guidelines valid in the respective country.
Drain Valve: The drain valve should only be used for its intended purpose and in basins with an overflow opening. Attaching other objects, such as a semi-pedestal, to the drain valve is not permitted.
Aerator Replacement: If water flows along the fixture towards the shaft, the spray former should be replaced with a standard air bubbler (Hansgrohe part number 95928000).
Gloves: Wear gloves during installation to prevent crushing and cutting injuries.
Pressure Equalization: Significant pressure differences between hot and cold water supplies must be equalized.

Cleaning: Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the product's appearance and functionality. Detailed cleaning instructions are provided on page 36 of the manual. It is important to use appropriate cleaning agents that do not contain acetic acid, as indicated by the symbol.
