- only position lights at night,
- lights at the chart table only when it is used,
- navigation instruments may be in stand-by position.
The general lights should also be switched on only when directly required. You should turn off the
refrigerating box, radio, autopilot or other users that require a lot of energy.
A.C. System
Please take note of the following dangers should your yacht have a shore supply socket:
DANGER!
Please connect the shore supply by first plugging in on board and thereafter on shore.
To cut off the connection you start by unplugging the connection on shore.
Do not allow the cable to lay in the water and plug connections should be protected from
water or be watertight (rain).
For your own safety, the shore connection is equipped with a fault-current protective
switch (FI-protective circuit breaker) which should be tested regularly for its operativeness by pressing
the release button.
Safety Remarks and Warnings
- Do not modify the electric system. Only allow qualified specialists for marine electrical equipment to
carry out such work!
- Only employ devices isolated twice or wired three times, if possible!
- Prevent the cable from hanging in the water! This may cause injury or death by electrocution to
swimmers.
- Switch off first the switch on shore before plugging or unplugging!
- Cut off first the shore connection!
- Close the cap of the shore connection tightly!
- Do not modify the plug of the shore connection; only use compatible plugs!
3.10 Gas System
The gas system for the cooker is installed in compliance with European Standard EN ISO 10239. Please
take note of the special rules prevailing in your country!
NOTE!
If the boat is going under german flag it is your obligation as owner to have this unit checked
regularly every two years by an acknowledged expert of Deutscher Verband der Gas- und
Wasserinstallateure of Germany.
Safety Instructions
Please take note of the following remarks as well as the Manuals and/or directions for use of the
instrument manufacturers!
DANGER!
Leaking gas is more heavy than air and is compiling in the hull.
DANGER OF SUFFOCATION and DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Do not use fire or
naked light and/or do not use electric appliances whenever you smell gas!
Gas Smell
In the case of gas smell close the cylinder valve and ventilate the boat intensely. Prevailing gas can be
detected with gas detectors.
Have the reason examined and repaired by an expert before using the gas unit again!
