Why is my Hanseatic Freezer not cooling enough?
    • S
      stevencisnerosAug 11, 2025
Several factors could be at play. First, ensure the temperature controller isn't set too low; try increasing it for more cooling. Check that the appliance door is tightly closed and the door seal is completely tight. The location of the appliance matters, so move it away from any heat sources. Only put cooled foods inside. Avoid overloading the freezer beyond its maximum freezing capacity, which is listed on the appliance’s type plate. If there’s a thick ice layer, defrost the freezer. Also, ensure the ambient temperature is within the recommended range. If none of these steps work, set the temperature controller to the highest level. If the compressor does not switch on within an hour, please contact our service department.

Why is my Hanseatic HGT128A making so much noise?
    • B
      Brandon ShepherdAug 17, 2025
Some noises are normal. A humming sound indicates the refrigeration unit is running. Flowing noises mean the refrigerant is circulating. Clicking sounds occur when the motor switches on or off. If you hear distracting noises, remove any foreign matter from the back of the appliance. To address flowing noise, ensure the freezer is stable. Remove any objects from the appliance to eliminate clicking.

Why is the compressor off but the interior light is on in my Hanseatic Freezer?
    • H
      hsullivanSep 3, 2025
The compressor may be off because the desired temperature has been reached, so further cooling isn't required. It will automatically turn back on when the inside temperature rises. Also, if the appliance was recently repositioned, it needs about 2 hours for the refrigerant to settle.
