Why is my Hanseatic HKGK16155C not cooling enough?

  There are several reasons why your Hanseatic Refrigerator may not be cooling sufficiently. The temperature setting could be too high, so select a lower setting. The door might not be tightly closed, or the door seal may not be completely tight. The appliance could be near a heat source; in this case, place an insulation plate between the appliances or change its location. Only store cooled foods. Do not exceed the maximum freezing capacity. Defrost the freezer if there's a thick ice layer. Ensure the ambient temperature is appropriate. If the compressor seems defective, set the temperature controller to “7”. If the compressor does not switch on within an hour, please contact our Service department.

  Some operating noises are normal. A quiet humming means the refrigeration unit is running, humming indicates refrigerant flowing through the pipes, and clicking means the compressor is switching on or off. If the noises are caused by vibration, check that the appliance is stable, remove any objects from the appliance, and remove any foreign matter from the back of the appliance.

  If the compressor and interior light are off, it could be due to no electricity reaching the socket. Check the socket with another appliance and check the fuse. Also, ensure the mains plug is tightly connected.

  If the compressor is off but the interior light is on, the temperature controller may be set to “0”. Turn the temperature controller to a higher position. Alternatively, the desired temperature may have been reached; if the refrigerating temperature increases, the compressor will switch on again automatically.
