Why luff tape damaged after raising sail with Harken Carbo Racing Foil?
If the luff tape is damaged after raising the sail on your Harken Boating Equipment, it's likely that load was put on the sail before it was fully raised. Always raise the sail and tension the halyard before sheeting.

Unroll foil and let it relax for a day or so before installing.
Splay 5" (127 mm) upper spacer tube with screwdriver, slip onto stay and tape.
Identify top of foil. Side groove will be on starboard. Use heat gun if needed.
Place trim cap on foil, squeeze with pliers, install screw and barrel nut.
Snap foil into place by pulling aft and sliding up. Use heat gun.
