Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth pairing instructions.
This software procedure allows you to replace an NFC Board or a VFD Display Control Board in the BDS 280/230
and BDS 580/230.
IMPORTANT: This update must be performed in an ESD protected environment!
To perform this pairing, the following equipment is needed:
• Android NFC mobile phone
• Special Android App installed on mobile phone
The Android App is to be downloaded from the FTP server:
IP:ftp2.harman.com
Login: ServiceLevel1
Password: !s3rv1c3L
Direct access with a web browser:
ftp://servicelevel1:!s3rv1c3L@ftp2.harman.com/Service/Level1
Procedure:
1. Disassemble the BDS unit by removing the top cover.
2. Locate the BT-module and the label with BT address on the VDF Display Control board.
