Status Displays
On Screen Display
Whenever you change a mode or input source, a two line display will appear at the top of the on screen display. The
current input is shown on the left side, with both the input number, and the name you have selected for it. The current
mode is displayed at the right side of the top line. A “NO VIDEO PRESENT” message may appear if the system does
not detect any video source connected to the input. You may remove the video warning messages from any input
through a setting on the Source Edit Menu
Front Panel Display
(Figure here) The two line display on the front of the unit will normally display the current input on the left side of the
top line, and the current mode on the left side of the top line. The bottom line shows current system volume in 1 db
increments.
Note that it is normal for the front panel display to “time out”, or go blank after ??five?? minutes of inactivity. This is
normal, and it is done to extend the life of the display. The front panel may be set to remain on whenever the unit is
powered up by changing a setting in the “Options Set” menu.
It is normal for the bottom line of the front panel display to occasionally show a “***PROCESSING*******” message.
This is normal, and it indicates that the 7.0’s microprocessor is making the computational changes needed to react to
the last command. Similarly, a “*****BUSY*****” message indicates that the system’s memory is being updated. It, too,
is a normal function and does not indicate any fault or problem with the 7.0.
