Settings Lock
The 7.0 is shipped from the factory with the system settings “unlocked”. To lock those settings, start at the “System
Setup” menu, by pressing the “System Setup” button. Press the “Г button until the on screen “Ö“pointer is next to
“Settings Lock”. (Figure #xx). Press “Select” to move to the next menu.
To lock the system, press the “Г button to move the on screen “Ö“pointer next to “Locked”. (Figure #xx). Press
“Select” to choose this option, noting that the ““ cursor block will move next to the option selected. Press “Exit/OK” to
enter the selection to memory. The “System Setup” menu will reappear, and the system settings are now locked.
Once the settings are locked, a “System Locked -- Function Unavailable” message will appear (Figure #xx) whenever
a locked menu or control option is selected on the remote.
Settings Unlock
To unlock the system settings, start at the “System Settings” menu by pressing “System Setup”. At the Status screen,
press “Select”. Since the system is locked, a single menu item will appear on the next screen. (Figure #xx). Press
“Select” to move to the next menu.
At the “System Settings -- Settings Lock” menu, press “Select” and note that the ““ cursor block will move up to the
“Unlocked” line. Press “Exit/OK” twice. This will return the unit to normal operation and the system will be unlocked.
Any function may now be accessed.
Edit Owners Name
This option changes the fifteen (15) character line that spells out the user’s name. The user name appears on the two
line display and through the on screen graphics system when the 7.0 is first turned on. This only permits you to
personalize the unit, but it also acts as a security feature. If the system has a special name or serial number entered
as the “User Name”, and if the system is “locked”, it will be easy to identify a stolen unit by your personalized title.
To enter or edit a user name, start from the “System Setup” menu. This menu is reached when the previous section is
completed, or it may be accessed by pressing the “System Setup” button on the remote.
At the “System Setup” menu, use the “Ï“ or “Г buttons to move the on screen “Γ pointer so that it is to the right of
the “Edit Owners Name” line. Press “Select” to move to the next page”. (figure #xx)
The next screen will display the factory preset name. (Figure #xx). Use the “Ï“ and “Г buttons to change the letters
and/or numbers. The “Í“ and “Γ buttons are used to advance the pointer to the desired space on the line. Use the
“Ï“ and “Г buttons at each point to change the display.
When the name reads as desired, press “Edit/OK” to enter the name into the 7.0’s memory and complete the process.
Settings Reset
The final section of the “System Setup” menu will clear the memory settings for various parts of the 7.0. These resets
may be used if you wish to remove all current settings and start over with a clean slate of the factory presets.
WARNING: Once any group of settings is reset, they may not be recovered. Any portions of the unit
that are reset must be totally reset on a step by step basis. Before confirming any setting or systems reset, be
certain that you wish to proceed.
