Display Time-out
The two line display is set at the factory to remain on at all times. Although it is an important part of the 7.0’s operating
system, some users may find that the blue light may interfere with their listening room environment. One alternative is
to turn the display, along with all panel lights and indicators, completely off. This is done by pressing the “Panel Dim”
button. (See page #xx.) An alternative to having the display remain illuminated when adjustments are being made, and
then automatically turn itself off shortly after the adjustments are completed. Engaging this function will also extend the
display’s life, as it will remain illuminated for a shorter period of time during each listening session.
To modify the setting for Display Time-out, the following steps should be followed:
Press “Options Set” to reach the “Options Set - Status” screen, and then “Select” to reach the main “Options Set”
menu.
At the “Options Set” menu, press “Г three times, so that the on screen “Ö“ pointer is next to the “FRNT PANEL
DISPLAY” line. (Figure #xx). Press “Select” to move to the next screen.
At the “Options Set - Frnt Panel Display” menu (Figure #xx), press “Select” to move to the next screen.
At the next menu (Figure #xx), use the “Ï“ or “Г buttons so that the on screen “Ö“ pointer is next to the desired mode
of operation.
Select “Always On” if you wish to have the front panel display to remain illuminated whenever the 7.0 is turned
on.
Select “Time-out” if you wish to have the front panel display illuminate
When a mode has been chosen, press “Select” and note that the ““ cursor block will move next to the desired option.
Press “Exit/OK” to return “Front Panel Display” menu. If no other changes are required, press “Exit/OK” twice to return
to normal operation.
Display Brightness
Every listening room has different lighting conditions, and every user has their own preference as to the desired
brightness of the panel lights. To accommodate those different requirements, you may adjust the brightness of the
7.0’s front panel display. To adjust the brightness, follow these steps:
Press “Options Set” to reach the “Options Set - Status” screen, and then “Г to reach the main “Options Set” control
menu.
At the “Options Set” menu, press “Г twice, so that the on screen “Ö“ pointer is next to the “FRNT PANEL DISPLAY”
line. (Figure #xx). Press “Select” to move to the next screen.
At the “Options Set - Frnt Panel Display” menu (Figure #xx), press “Г so that the on screen “Ö“ pointer is next to
“Display Brightness”. Press “Select” to move to the next screen.
At the next menu (Figure #xx), use the “Γ and “Í“ buttons to adjust the brightness. As adjustments are made you
will be able to see the changes instantly. For reference purposes, an on screen bar graph and two digit readout will
indicate which of the four brightness steps is showing.
When the desired brightness level is in place, press “Exit/OK” to return to the “Front Panel Display” menu. If no other
changes are required, press “Exit/OK” twice to return to normal operation.
