Risk of damage!
• Due to the weight of the lock, it must not be
the storage bag. The hook-and-loop fastening
could open, the lock could fall out and enter
accidents.
• Never immerse the lock in water. The electronics
are splash-proof but will not withstand being
fully immersed.
4 | How to use
First check whether the lock is suitable for the respective vehicle,
brake disc, throat depth, throat height and locking pin diameter. To
do so, you can check both on the front and the rear brake disc.
Then, unlock the locking pin with one of the two supplied keys and
remove the key again. Now, push the brake disc lock onto the brake
disc. A beep sounds. Then, push the locking pin down with the
cylinder lock. The lock has been locked and the alarm is activated.
If the lock is not locked within 15 seconds, an alarm sounds.

15 seconds will cause an acoustic alarm. This recurring acoustic
siren sound which lasts 15 seconds.
If there are no more vibrations or changes in position, the siren
stops. The alarm sounds again if there are further or new vibrations
or a change in position.
The alarm is stopped immediately when the lock is opened and
removed from the brake disc.

6 | Storage
The Hartmann Alarm Brake Disc Lock must be stored in its storage
bag, in a room which is protected from the elements. The temper-
use the lock for a prolonged period. Store in the vehicle, underneath
the seat, or in another lockable storage facility.
