This device is intended for cutting dry, human hair and is suitable for indoor use. It is not designed for commercial purposes or for trimming artificial or animal hair.

Function Description

The core function of the Hatteker RFC-588 is hair trimming, supported by a powerful motor and a variety of cutting heads. It operates on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, providing cordless convenience for approximately 90 minutes on a full charge. The device features an LED display that indicates the battery capacity in increments of five (00/05/10/15/.../90MIN), allowing users to monitor the remaining power. A lock symbol on the display indicates when the transport lock is activated, preventing accidental operation during storage or travel.

The 5-in-1 functionality is achieved through interchangeable attachments:

• Hair Trimmer Attachment: This is the primary attachment for general hair cutting. It works in conjunction with multiple comb attachments to achieve different hair lengths.
• Beard Trimmer Attachment: Specifically designed for shaping and trimming beards, moustaches, and contours. It can be used with an adjustable precision comb for varying beard lengths.

Usage Features

The Hatteker RFC-588 is designed for ease of use, with several features to enhance the grooming experience:

Charging: Before first use, the device should be charged for approximately 90 minutes. Subsequent charges also take around 90 minutes. The charging station provides a stable base for the device. To charge, the device is switched off, connected to the charging station, and the power supply unit is plugged into an easily accessible wall socket. The LED display shows the charging progress. It is crucial to ensure the mains voltage matches the adapter's specifications and that the charger pins are fully inserted into the socket to prevent electric shock or injury. When not charging, the charger should be removed from the power outlet to prevent electric leakage.

Attachment Installation and Removal:

• Comb Attachments (for Hair and Beard Trimmers): These slide into a groove on the side of the device. For the adjustable comb used with the U-type knife head (beard trimmer), it is inserted parallel into the knife slot until a buckle is tight. To remove, the guide comb is pushed out until the comb row is released from the buckle. For other comb attachments, they are carefully slid over the trimmer attachment and pressed firmly until they lock into place. To remove, loosen the comb attachment at its lower end and pull it off.
• Trimmer Attachments (e.g., Nose/Ear, Body Groomer): To remove, thumbs are used to push the attachment back and off the hair trimmer. To mount, the bottom clip of the attachment is run into the rail in the hair trimmer, and the top part is pushed until it audibly locks into place. The protruding point of the cutter board must match the buckle position in the host machine, and the motor eccentric wheel should be placed into the white plastic part of the head or the groove of the cutter board. For the nose hair cut head, pinching the head of the nose device and forcing it until a "da" sound is heard indicates successful buckling.

Operation:

• On/Off Switch: The device is turned on and off using the designated switch.
• Cutting Length Adjustment: For the hair trimmer, various comb attachments (3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm) are available. For the beard trimmer, a precision comb (1/2/3/.../9/10mm) allows for adjustable lengths. The precision trimmer attachment also has a slide switch for fine-tuning cutting lengths (0.8 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.8 mm).
• Hair Trimming: Begin with a longer comb attachment and progressively use shorter ones. Comb hair thoroughly. Hold the trimmer flat against the head and run it evenly against the direction of hair growth for best results. Run the trimmer over the same area multiple times to ensure all hairs are trimmed.
• Beard Trimming: Comb the beard in the direction of growth. Trim downwards from ear to chin. For very short beards or moustaches, use the beard trimmer attachment without a comb, pointing the cutting edge at a right angle towards the beard.
• Nose/Ear Trimming: Slowly run the metal tip of the nose/ear hair trimmer attachment into a nostril or ear, moving it in circles to cut hair.
• Body Grooming: Insert the body groomer head until it clicks. Turn on the unit and move it vertically on the skin, gently and slowly, against the direction of hair growth.

Transport Lock: If the transport lock is activated, the lock symbol flashes. To switch the transport lock on/off, press and hold the on/off switch for approximately 6 seconds. Connecting the power unit deactivates the transport lock, which cannot be activated during mains operation.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of the Hatteker RFC-588:

Cleaning:

• Always switch off the hair trimmer before cleaning.
• Comb Attachments: Remove the comb attachment and rinse it with water. Let it dry completely before reattaching.
• Hair Trimmer: The hair trimmer is waterproof and can be cleaned with water.
• Hair Remnants: Use the included cleaning brush to remove any hair remnants from the attachments and the device.

Lubrication:

• After each use, apply a few drops of acid-free blade oil (such as sewing machine oil) to the cutting edge of the attachment.
