Notice
Although all-season tires marked M+S have
quite good cold weather performance, generally
speaking, their performance is not as good as
winter tires and should be replaced with winter
tires when driving on snow or ice.
⚠ Warning
While winter tires improve the vehicle’s grip,
you should still drive carefully and remain
cautious.
Be sure to adjust your speed and driving
style taking into account visibility, weather,
road and traffic conditions.
Do not exceed the vehicle speed and load
rating of your winter tires.
⚠ Caution
Winter tires lose their effectiveness if there is
severe wear to their tread. The same is true if
the winter tires are aged, even if the tread is
not worn out. For specific replacement
standards for winter tires, consult a dealer.
Using winter tires:
Winter tires must comply with the local
country's laws and regulations.
Winter tires must be fitted to all four wheels
at the same time.
Winter tires must be the same size as the
standard tires.
All four winter tires must be of the same
model, size (circumference) and tread type.
Winter tires should be used only during cold
weather.
Be sure to comply with all maximum limits
for winter tires (maximum speed, maximum
load, etc.), or damage could occur to the
tires, causing an accident.
Do not reverse the direction of the tires
rotation.
Tire chains
The use of tire chains is determined by the
standards currently in place in different
countries and regions. The installation of show
chains must comply with local laws and
regulations.
Tire chains can only be attached on the drive
wheels and should not be attached to just one
wheel. When attaching the chains, follow the
instructions provided by the manufacturer and
ensure they are tightened appropriately.
⚠ Caution
When attaching tire chains take note of the
following precautions:
The wrong size or improper attachment of
tire chains can damage the vehicle’s brake
lines, suspension, body and tires. Choose
suitable tire chains and ensure correct
mounting.
When attaching tire chains, park the vehicle
on a level surface away from traffic, switch
on the hazard warning lights and place a
warning triangle behind the vehicle.
Before attaching the tire chains, you must
switch the power supply mode to LOCK and
apply the parking brake.
Do not attach tire chains to the emergency
wheel or a smaller spare tire.
Do not attach tire chains to tires that have
low tire pressure.
When using tire chains be careful not to
damage the alloy wheel rims.
