Do you have a question about the Hazet 6391 and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the HAZET 6391 and 6392 series torque wrenches, which are designed for controlled tightening of screw connections. These are high-quality tools manufactured with advanced technology.
The HAZET torque wrenches are precision hand tools designed for tightening screw connections to a specific, pre-set torque value. They are equipped with a lockable torque setting, ensuring that the desired torque is maintained during operation. The wrenches provide both an audible "click" and a tactile "release" signal when the set torque is reached, indicating that the tightening process should be stopped immediately. This automatic release mechanism ensures accurate and consistent torque application.
The tools are intended exclusively for tightening screw connections and must not be used as levers, clamping tools, or hammering tools. Any modification or improper use of the tool is strictly forbidden and will void all warranty and liability claims.
The HAZET 6391 and 6392 series torque wrenches are available in various models with different torque ranges and insert tool dimensions:
HAZET 6391 series (9 x 12 mm insert tool dimension):
HAZET 6392 series (14 x 18 mm insert tool dimension):
All models come with a manufacturer's examination certificate according to DIN 55350 - 18 - 4.2.2. The torque wrenches are designed for use with insert tools, and the effective length of the insert tool is crucial for accurate torque calculation. If an insert tool with a different effective length than the standard adjusting tool is used, the adjusted torque (MDE) must be calculated using a specific formula provided in the manual to ensure accuracy.
The accuracy of the torque wrench in the tightening direction (indicated by an arrow on the wrench) is ± 2% of the set value.
Setting the Torque: The torque value is set using the HAZET 6399 adjustment wrench. To adjust, the counter nut on the handle is loosened by inserting the outer pin wrench and turning it counter-clockwise. The desired torque is then set using the inner hexagon wrench. Once the desired value is reached, the counter nut is tightened clockwise with the outer pin wrench to lock the setting. It is recommended to perform this adjustment in conjunction with a torque testing device to prevent unauthorized manipulation of the torque value.
Operation:
Storage: The torque wrench should be stored in a dry, dust-free environment, away from liquids or aggressive substances. It should not be stored outdoors or left unattended. The recommended storage temperature is -10°C to +40°C, with a maximum relative humidity of 60%. Safeboxes are available for secure storage.
Adjustment and Service: HAZET torque wrenches require regular checking and readjustment. It is recommended to do this after approximately 5,000 operations or at least every six months. A HAZET testing device can be used for this purpose. If a suitable tester is not available, the wrench can be sent to HAZET through a specialist dealer for factory checking and adjustment.
HAZET offers a re-certification (recalibration) service after extended use. As measuring instruments, torque wrenches and testers must be checked and calibrated at intervals specified by quality management. The frequency of use determines these intervals. HAZET's testing equipment is regularly monitored and calibrated by the German Calibration Service (DKD) to ensure consistent quality. All HAZET torque wrenches of the 6391 and 6392 series can be adjusted and certified with any chosen insert tool.
General Maintenance: All internal functional elements of the torque wrench are largely maintenance-free due to special grease lubrication. Regular cleaning and proper storage will help maintain the tool's performance and longevity.
