How to fix a Health Zenith Accessory light that won't turn on?
    • A
      Amy BarrettJul 27, 2025
If the Health Zenith Accessory light won't turn on, first ensure the light switch is on. Check if a fuse is blown or a circuit breaker is off, and replace the fuse or turn the breaker on if needed. If it's daytime, the photocell might be in effect, so recheck after dark. For new installations, verify the wiring is correct. Adjust the motion sensor to cover the desired area. If the outside air temperature is close to body heat, increase the “SENS” setting.

Why do my Health Zenith 5872 lights stay on all the time?
    • D
      Dawn CraneJul 31, 2025
If your Health Zenith Accessory lights are staying on, the motion sensor might be picking up a heat source. Try decreasing the “SENS” setting or repositioning the motion sensor. Also, ensure the motion sensor is not in manual mode by setting the ON-TIME switch to 1, 5, or 20 minutes and following the Manual Mode instructions on page 5 to reset. Make sure the light fixture isn't wired through a dimmer or timer; if it is, replace it with a standard on/off wall switch. Finally, ensure the light fixture is on a circuit without motors, transformers, or fluorescent bulbs.

Why does my Health Zenith 5872 light come on randomly?
    • N
      Noah WangAug 4, 2025
If your Health Zenith Accessory light is turning on for no apparent reason, the motion sensor may be sensing small animals or automobile traffic. Try decreasing the “SENS” setting or repositioning the motion sensor. If the “SENS” switch is set too high, decrease it. If the “DUALBRITE” switch is in the 3 hour, 6 hour, or dusk-to-dawn setting, the light fixture is operating normally. If the outside temperature is much warmer or cooler than a person’s body heat, decrease the “SENS” setting. Also, if the light fixture is wired through a dimmer or timer, replace it with a standard on/off wall switch.

Why is my Health Zenith 5872 Accessories light turning on during the day?
    • S
      Steven FranklinAug 8, 2025
If your Health Zenith Accessory light comes on during the day, it may be installed in a relatively dark location, and the light fixture is operating normally under these circumstances. Also, check if the “ON-TIME” switch is in the “TEST” position; if so, set it to the 1, 5, or 20 minute setting.

What to do if my Health Zenith Accessories lights are flashing on and off?
    • M
      Mrs. Tara PaceAug 13, 2025
If the Health Zenith Accessory lights are flashing on and off, it could be due to heat or light from the lamp heads turning the motion sensor on and off; reposition the lamp heads away from the motion sensor. Reflected heat from other objects may also trigger the sensor; decrease the “SENS” setting or reposition the motion sensor. If the motion sensor is in “TEST” mode, the light only stays on for 8 seconds; set the ON-TIME switch to 1, 5, or 20 minutes.

Why do my Health Zenith 5872 Accessories lights turn off too late in Dusk-to-Dawn setting?
    • S
      Sergio TownsendAug 17, 2025
If the Health Zenith Accessory lights turn off too late in Dusk-to-Dawn setting, the light fixture may be installed in a relatively dark location. Relocate the light fixture or use the 3 hour or 6 hour setting.

What to do if my Health Zenith 5872 lights flash once then stay off in manual mode?
    • N
      nancycannonAug 22, 2025
If the Health Zenith Accessory lights flash once then stay off in manual mode, the motion sensor is likely detecting light from the lamp heads. Reposition the lamp heads to keep the area below the motion sensor relatively dark.
