13. Information on disposal
Batteries must not be disposed of with the domestic waste.
As a consumer, you are legally obliged to return used batteries.
After use, batteries can be returned free of charge to the seller or to
collection points intended for this purpose (e.g. municipal collection
points or in trade). They can also be returned to the seller by mail. In any case
the seller will reimburse the postage for the return of your old battery.
Hekatron has paid the costs for the disposal by means of the EAR fee.
The smoke detector is produced in compliance with the strict criteria of the qual-
ity and environment management system according to DIN ISO 9001. It com-
plies with the statutory RoHS requirements and is free of any illegal substances.
The battery is an integral part of the detector and cannot be
changed.
