6.2 Inspection on Reassembly of Steering System
(1) Check the forces necessary to turn the steering handwheel to right and left
until it can’t be turned any more to see if they are identical each other and check the
operation of the steering handwheel for smoothness during above operation.
(2) Check the arrangement of hydraulic pipeline and turning direction of the
truck for correctness.
(3) Put up the rear wheels and slowly turn the handwheel over again to exhaust
the air in the hydraulic pipelines and the cylinder.
