PRECAUTIONS FOR USING THE CARTRIDGE
•Thecartridgeisforsingleuseonlyandmustbereplacedaftereachinationwith
anewcartridgeofthesamereference.
• Use only Helite brand cartridges available from your dealer or on the helite.com
website.
• Gas cartridges are considered hazardous materials and should be kept out of
reachofchildrenandusedwithcare.
•Neverpluginthecartridgeuntilitiscompletelyscrewedintoitsslot.
•Ifruststainsorsignsofdeteriorationappearonthecartridge,replaceitimmedia-
tely and contact your dealer or Helite at sav@helite.com.
• The cartridge should be stored at temperatures between 0°C (32°F) and 45°C
(113°F).Itshouldbestoredawayfrommoistureandlight.
•Ifthecartridgehasbeenstoredattemperaturesbelow0°C(32°F),werecommend
keepingit at ambienttemperaturefor several minutesbefore using yourairbag
vest to avoid malfunction of the airbag.
• Do not expose the cartridge for a long period of time to high temperatures (in full
suninacar,neararadiator,etc.)nearasurfaceorammableobjects.
•Donothitthecartridge,donotdropit,donotcutorpierceit,anddonotthrow
itintore.
•Caution,thegasinsidethecartridgeiscompressedtoaveryhighpressure.
•Findmoreinformationabouttheannualvericationofthecartridgeonpage37,
itsrecyclingonpage38anditswarrantyonpage38.

Protective foams (9 mm)
Theyareintegratedintheairbagvestonthefrontandrear.Theyallowtoabsorb
theshocksandtodistributetheforceoftheimpacts.Caution,youmustnotusethe
airbag vest if the protective foams have been removed.

ItallowstorechargethebatteryoftheairbagvestCDUelectroniccard(seepage
28). Please note: only the USB cable is supplied,youwillthenhavetoconnectit
to a standard USB charger (5 VDC).
