Usage Features:

Basic Operation:

  • Power On/Off: A short press of the power button turns the unit on (standby mode), while a long press turns it off.
  • Volume Adjustment: The VOL +/- buttons control the volume level, ranging from 0 to 40.
  • Source Selection: The SRC button cycles through available audio sources: Tuner (FM/AM), USB, BT Music, and Aux In.
  • System Menu: A long press of the SRC button enters the system menu, where users can adjust settings such as Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, Beep (on/off), EQ presets (Hertz EQ, Classic, Pop), Loudness (on/off), Area (USA, Europe), and P-VOL (power-on volume).

Radio Operation (FM/AM Tuner):

  • Band Selection: The BAND button switches between FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, and AM2 bands.
  • Preset Station Selection: Short presses of the SEEK +/- buttons navigate through saved preset stations.
  • SEEK Tuning: Long presses of the SEEK +/- buttons automatically search for the next strongest station.
  • Manual Tuning: A short press of the AS button enters manual tuning mode, allowing precise frequency adjustment using the SEEK +/- buttons. The system reverts to AUTO mode after a few seconds of inactivity.
  • Auto Store: A long press of the AS button automatically finds and stores the 18 strongest stations into presets, replacing any existing ones.
  • Save a Preset: Tune to the desired station, then long press the PLAY/PAUSE button. Use SEEK buttons to select a preset number, then long press PLAY/PAUSE again to save.

USB Mode Operation:

  • Connection: Insert a USB device into the provided pigtail. It is recommended to select another source or turn off the power before removing the USB device to prevent damage.
  • Track Selection: The SEEK +/- buttons move to the next/previous track. Long presses enable fast forward/rewind.
  • Play/Pause: The PLAY/PAUSE button toggles playback between play and pause.
  • Repeat Feature: The AS button cycles through repeat modes: "REPEAT ONE" (RPT logo lights up), "RANDOM" (RDM logo lights up), and "REPEAT ALL" (RPT logo turns off).
  • Browsing: A long press of the AS button enters USB file browsing mode. Use SEEK buttons to navigate folders (indicated by ">") and tracks. Press AS to enter a folder or play a selected song. The BAND button exits the current folder. The upper bar of the display shows the current browsing level.
  • Track Info: A short press of the BAND button changes the displayed information (Title, Artist, Album name, Track number, Playback time).

AUX In Mode Operation:

  • Selection: Press the SRC button to select "AUX In" mode. This allows playback of audio from external devices connected via the RCA inputs.

Bluetooth Operation:

  • Pairing: Turn on Bluetooth on your device, search for "HMR 10," and select it. "CONN. OK" will appear on the display upon successful connection. The unit automatically enters BT Music source.
  • Disconnect/Reconnect: A long press of the AS button disconnects the device. A short press of AS attempts to reconnect the same device.
  • Play/Pause: The PLAY/PAUSE button toggles playback.
  • Track Selection: The SEEK +/- buttons move to the next/previous track.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning the Body:

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe off dirt or dust.
  • For persistent dirt, use a soft cloth with a neutral detergent diluted in water, then wipe with a dry cloth.
  • Avoid using benzene, thinner, boat cleaner, or other harsh substances as they may damage the body or paint.
  • Prevent rubber or plastic products from prolonged contact with the body to avoid stains.

Precautions:

  • Always keep the volume at a level that allows external sounds to be heard for safety.
  • Never open the case or disassemble the unit; contact a Hertz dealer for service.
  • Ensure the vessel battery's negative terminal is disconnected before installation to prevent short circuits.
  • Avoid installing the unit near the engine compartment to prevent interference.
  • Do not install the unit where it will be exposed to excessive moisture, dust, dirt, foreign particles, vibration, high temperatures, or direct sunlight.
  • Ensure proper wire connections before turning on the unit.
  • Backup USB data before use, as Elettromedia srl is not liable for lost or damaged data.
  • Connect/disconnect USB memory sticks only when not accessed to prevent data damage.
  • Protect the unit from high temperatures; cool down the interior of the vessel before starting playback.
  • Be aware of local volume level ordinances in residential and family areas.
