Press and hold MODE button for 2 seconds to select Auto MODE. Use the
temperature arrow setting buttons to set the desired temperature. There will
be a 2 minute “Pre-Wet” cycle which turns only the pump on to wet the media
before the fan turns on. If the room temperature is 4°F higher than the set
temperature, the fan will start on high(Hi) speed. When the room temperature
drops within 2°F of the set temperature, the fan will enter low(Lo) speed until
the set temperature is reached. Both the fan and pump will shut off at this
point. Pressing the fan speed button can also manually set the fan speed in
Auto MODE. The pump cannot be independently turned off in Auto MODE.

Overview

The Hessaire HTH01 is a WiFi-enabled line-voltage thermostat designed for controlling evaporative coolers. It combines a user-friendly interface with smart connectivity, allowing for both manual and automated operation of evaporative cooling systems.

Function Description:

The HTH01 thermostat serves as the central control unit for evaporative coolers. It allows users to set desired room temperatures, control fan speeds (high/low), and manage the pump (cooling function). Its primary function is to maintain a comfortable indoor environment by automatically adjusting the cooler's operation based on temperature and humidity readings. The WiFi capability extends control to mobile devices via the Tuya Smart App, enabling remote management and scheduling.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Voltage: 115V / 230V
  • Frequency: 60Hz

Operating Modes:

  • Automatic Mode:
    • Activated by holding the MODE button for 2 seconds.
    • Allows setting a desired temperature using arrow buttons.
    • Initiates a 2-minute "Pre-Wet" cycle (pump only) to saturate media before the fan starts.
    • If room temperature is 4°F higher than the set temperature, the fan starts on high speed.
    • When room temperature drops within 2°F of the set temperature, the fan switches to low speed.
    • Both fan and pump shut off when the set temperature is reached.
    • Fan speed can be manually overridden in Auto Mode, but the pump cannot be independently turned off.
  • Manual Mode:
    • Activated by holding the MODE button for 2 seconds.

    • The thermostat will not automatically shut off the cooler's function in Manual Mode.

Pre-Wet Function:

  • A 2-minute pre-wet cycle (pump only) runs at the start of operation in Auto Mode to ensure the cooling media is saturated before the fan engages, maximizing cooling efficiency. The "Pre-Wet" indicator is displayed during this cycle.

Delay Timer:

  • Used to automatically turn off the cooler after a set period.
  • Accessed by pushing the "clock" button.
  • The humidity display switches to show the timer display, allowing users to set the desired delay time using the up/down arrows.
