Function Description:
The HiLook Digital/Network Video Recorder (DVR/NVR) is designed for surveillance systems, enabling the recording and management of video feeds from both analog (Turbo HD, AHD, HDCVI, CVBS) and IP cameras. It supports various video input types and offers functionalities for live viewing, recording, playback, and remote access. The device can be integrated into a network for remote management and monitoring via web browsers or mobile applications like HiLookVision. It also supports alarm input/output for integration with other security systems.

- Supported Resolutions: 1024*768 and above for web browser access.

Usage Features:
- Device Activation: Requires setting an admin password upon first access. This can be done via GUI, Web Browser, SADP software, or client software.
- Unlock Pattern Login: For admin users, an unlock pattern can be configured for device login, requiring at least 4 dots to be connected once.
- User Login: Standard login with username and password. Account lockout mechanisms are in place for multiple failed login attempts (7 for admin, 5 for operator).
- User Logout, Shutdown, Reboot: Options to log out, shut down, or reboot the device via the menu.
- Signal Input Status (DVR): Automatic recognition of analog and IP signal inputs. Specific DVR series allow configuration of 5 MP long-distance transmission.
- Adding IP Cameras (NVR): Network cameras can be added to the device's connection list for live video and recording. Activation of IP cameras is a prerequisite.
- Network Settings: Configuration of general network parameters, including DHCP, IPv4/IPv6 addresses, subnet, gateway, DNS servers, and MAC address.
- HiLookVision Configuration: Enables remote access and management via the HiLookVision mobile application and service platform. Requires enabling the function, entering a verification code, and agreeing to service terms. Optional custom server address and stream encryption are available.
- Live View: Displays camera status icons (alarm, record, alarm and record, event/exception) in the upper-right corner of each channel for quick reference.
- Recording Settings: Supports Instant Record and All-Day Record. Other record types are detailed in the user manual. Requires a properly installed and initialized hard disk.
- Playback: Allows playback of recorded video files and pictures from the hard disk in various modes: instant, all-day, normal, event, smart, tag, system logs, sub-periods, external file search, or picture. Supports simultaneous playback of multiple channels.
- Web Browser Access: Provides access to the device for live view, playback, log search, and configuration via supported web browsers. Requires plug-in installation for full functionality.

- Password Management: Strong password recommendations are provided, emphasizing a minimum of 8 characters with a mix of character types, and regular password resets for high-security systems.

- Grounding: Ensures the DVR/NVR is properly grounded.
