This document is a service manual for Hisense LCD Televisions, specifically covering models with the chassis MSD308PX, including LTN24K26CEU, LHD32K26CEU(31), and LTDN46K26CEU. The manual, version 1.0, was released in March 2012 by Hisense Electric Co., Ltd. It provides essential information for servicing and maintaining these LCD televisions.
The manual begins with "Precautions and notices" to ensure safe and proper service. It emphasizes that only qualified personnel should perform service and repair, and that replacement parts must be specified by the manufacturer. It highlights the importance of using tools specifically designed for the purpose and warns against using unauthorized modification of the design. Critical safety characteristics are identified with a triangle symbol, and specific warnings are given for electrostatic discharges (ESD) to prevent damage to sensitive components. Technicians are advised to wear wristbands with resistance and to keep components and tools at the same potential. Other warnings include never replacing modules or components while the unit is switched on, using plastic rather than metal tools, preventing electrical shock by not using polarized AC plugs with an extension cord or receptacle that doesn't fully prevent blade exposure, and ensuring replacement parts meet the same characteristics as the original part. Safety regulations require that after a repair, the set must be returned to its original condition, and particular attention should be paid to the following points: the wire trees should be routed correctly and fixed with mounted cable clamps, and the insulation of the mains lead should be checked for external damage. It also warns against touching signal and power connectors while the product operates, not touching EMI ground parts and heat sinks of film filters, not supplying a voltage higher than specified, not using the product in locations where humidity is extremely high or where it may be splashed with water or flammable materials, and not pulling out or inserting the power cable from/to an outlet with wet hands. Further warnings include not damaging or modifying the power cable, and if the power cable is damaged or the connector is loose, not using the product. If the power connector or cable becomes dirty or dusty, it should be wiped with a dry cloth. The manual also advises against using only the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer or sold with the apparatus, and to use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
The "Notes on Safe Handling of the LCD panel and during service" section provides detailed instructions for ensuring safety and proper servicing. It recommends starting work when a sufficient working space is secured, and at all times other than when adjusting and checking the product, to turn off the power button and disconnect the power cable from the power source of the TV during servicing. To prevent electric shock and breakage of the PC board, servicing work should start at least 30 seconds after the main power has been turned off. If the main power is on, technicians should not touch any parts or circuits other than the ones specified. If any connection other than the one specified is made between the measuring equipment and the high voltage power supply block, it can result in electric shock or activation of the leakage-detection circuit breaker. When installing the LCD module, it should be removed from the packing carton, ensuring at least two persons perform the work. When the surface of the panel comes into contact with cushioning materials, it is important to confirm that there is no foreign matter on top of the cushioning materials before the surface of the panel comes into contact. Failure to observe this precaution may result in the surface of the panel being scratched by foreign matter. When handling the circuit board, static electricity from the body should be removed before handling. To handle the circuit board by holding the large parts such as the heat sink or transformer, failure to observe this precaution may result in the occurrence of an abnormality in the soldered areas. Technicians should not stack the circuit boards, as failure to observe this precaution may result in problems resulting from scratches on the parts, deformation of parts, and short-circuits due to residual electric charge. Routing of the wires and fixing them in position must be done in accordance with the original routing and fixing configuration when servicing is completed. All wires routed far away from the areas that become hot (such as the heat sink) must be fixed in position with wire clamps so that the wires do not move, thereby ensuring they are not damaged and their materials do not deteriorate over long periods of time. Finally, a safety check is required when servicing is completed to verify that the peripherals of the serviced points have not undergone any deterioration during servicing.
