Overview

This document is a user's operation manual for a Hisense refrigerator, specifically models H610BS-WD, H610BI-WD, and RD-60WC4SIB. It provides comprehensive instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Hisense refrigerator is designed for household and similar applications, including staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, bed and breakfast environments, and catering. It features two main compartments: a refrigerator chamber and a freezer chamber.

The refrigerator chamber is intended for storing fresh food items such as eggs, cooked food, packaged food, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, cakes, and drinks. It includes glass shelves, crisper drawers for vegetables and fruits, and door racks for canned liquids, bottled drinks, and packed food.

The freezer chamber is suitable for storing foods that need to be frozen, such as meat and ice. It contains upper, middle, and lower freezer drawers, as well as a twist ice tray for producing and storing ice cubes.

A key feature of this model is the Water Dispenser, located on the fridge door. This allows for easy access to chilled drinking water without opening the refrigerator door.

The appliance is equipped with a control panel that allows users to adjust temperatures for both the fridge and freezer compartments. It includes various modes and functions:

  • Temperature Control: Users can set the fridge temperature between 2°C and 8°C and the freezer temperature between -14°C and -24°C.
  • Super Cool: This function rapidly cools the refrigerator compartment to 2°C, ideal for quickly chilling large amounts of warm food. It automatically deactivates after 3 hours.
  • Energy Saving: This mode automatically adjusts the fridge temperature to 6°C and the freezer temperature to -17°C to optimize energy consumption.
  • Super Freeze: This function quickly lowers the freezer temperature to -24°C to rapidly freeze fresh food, helping to preserve vitamins and nutrition. It automatically deactivates after 52 hours.
  • Power On/Off: A dedicated button allows users to turn the cooling function of the appliance on or off.
  • Door Alarm: An alarm sounds and "dr" is displayed on the control panel if the fridge door remains open for more than 2 minutes, stopping after 8 minutes or when the door is closed.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Power Supply: The fridge operates on a single-phase alternating current of 220~240V/50Hz. An A.C. Automatic voltage regulator of more than 350W is recommended if voltage fluctuations exceed this range.
  • Refrigerant: The appliance uses isobutene (R600a), a natural gas with high environmental compatibility, which is flammable.
  • Insulation Blowing Gas: The insulation also contains flammable gases.
  • Climate Class: The appliance performs well within climate classes SN to T, indicating an ambient temperature range from +10°C to +43°C depending on the specific class (SN: +10°C to +32°C, N: +16°C to +32°C, ST: +16°C to +38°C, T: +16°C to +43°C).
  • Water Dispenser Capacity: The water tank in the dispenser has a maximum capacity of 3.5L.
  • Leveling: The appliance requires a 10-15mm backward tilt at the top to allow doors to self-close. Adjustable bottom feet are provided for leveling.
  • Door Reversibility: The door opening side can be reversed from right to left, requiring specific steps outlined in the manual.

Usage Features

  • Food Storage Recommendations: The manual provides detailed guidelines for storing different types of food in various compartments, including recommended temperatures and storage durations for optimal freshness and safety. For example, raw meat and fish should be stored in suitable containers to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Twist Ice Tray: This feature simplifies ice cube production. Users fill the tray with water, place it back in the bracket, wait approximately 3 hours, and then twist knobs clockwise to drop ice into the ice box.
  • Water Dispenser Operation: To use the water dispenser, ensure the tank is stable and correctly positioned, then fill it with drinking water up to the maximum level mark. Avoid pushing the lever forward without a cup underneath to prevent spills.
  • Energy Saving Tips: Users are advised to keep doors closed, avoid placing warm food directly into the fridge/freezer, cover or wrap food, and ensure proper air circulation to maximize energy efficiency.
  • Installation Guidelines: The appliance should be placed on a level, hard surface strong enough to support its full weight. Adequate air circulation (50-70mm from the back, 100mm from the top and sides) is crucial for heat dissipation. It should be kept away from direct sunlight, rain, frost, and heat sources.
  • Door Reversal: The manual provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for reversing the door, including removing hinges, covers, and door stoppers, and then reassembling them on the opposite side. This process requires ensuring the appliance is unplugged and handling components carefully to avoid damage.

Maintenance Features

  • Regular Cleaning: The appliance (exterior, interior, and accessories) should be cleaned regularly, at least every two months, to maintain hygiene.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Use a clean, soft cloth with a mild detergent. Spray water onto the cloth, not directly onto the appliance surface, for even moisture distribution. Wipe doors, handles, and cabinet surfaces, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleansers, solvents, or sharp objects.
  • Interior Cleaning: Clean the interior regularly, ideally when food stocks are low. Use a weak solution of bicarbonate of soda and warm water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Ensure all surfaces and removable parts are completely dry before reinstallation.
  • Defrosting: Although the appliance automatically defrosts, frost may accumulate in the freezer if the door is opened frequently or left open too long. If frost is too thick, remove food and accessories, unplug the appliance, leave doors open to ventilate, and then clean the freezer. Do not use sharp objects to remove frost.
  • Door Seals Cleaning: Keep door seals clean to prevent stickiness and tearing. Wash with mild detergent and warm water, then rinse and dry thoroughly before powering on the appliance.
  • LED Light Replacement: If the illuminating lamps are damaged, contact customer helpline for assistance as they must be replaced by qualified persons, not the user.
  • Water Dispenser Cleaning: Clean the water tank, lid, and head regularly, especially if not used for 48 hours or if the water system has not been flushed for 5 days. Ensure the receiving tank is cleaned regularly to prevent overflow.
  • Disposal: The appliance contains refrigerant and insulation gases that are flammable and must be disposed of professionally at an authorized waste disposal center. Before disposal, unplug the appliance, cut the power cord, and remove the door to prevent hazards for children. Packaging materials are recyclable.
