Overview

This document provides a comprehensive guide for the Hisense washing machine, covering its functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Hisense washing machine is equipped with automatic safety functions that detect and diagnose issues early and react appropriately. It offers a variety of wash programs tailored for different fabric types and soiling levels, ensuring optimal cleaning and fabric care.

Wash Programs:

  • Cotton (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 60°C, 95°C): For heavily and moderately soiled cotton or linen. A "Prewash" function is available for very heavily soiled items.
  • Cotton Eco (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 60°C): Designed for lightly to moderately dirty laundry. Washing temperature and spinning speed can be adjusted. Default spinning speed is maximum.
  • Allergy Steam (2) (40°C, 60°C): Suitable for high-temperature resistant and less fading fabrics, effectively removing allergens like pollens, mites, and parasites using high-temperature steam.
  • Delicates (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C): For soft delicate fabrics and machine washable silk.
  • Hand/Wool (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C): For machine washable wool.
  • Baby Steam Care (2) (40°C, 60°C, 95°C): Sterilizes and disinfects baby clothes and underwear using high-temperature steam.
  • Dark Garment (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 60°C): For dark textiles made of cotton and dark easy-care textiles.
  • Quick 15' (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C): For cotton and mixed fabrics, ideal for items worn for a short time or newly bought.
  • Mix (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C): For mixed loads of moderately soiled cotton and synthetic fabrics.
  • Sportswear (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C): For sportswear and leisure wear made from microfibre fabrics.
  • Jeans (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 60°C): Specifically designed for jeans.
  • Bedding (--, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 60°C): For large size clothes such as curtains, sheets, and quilt covers.
  • Drum Clean (95°C): A program to remove dirt and bacterial residue that can accumulate in the machine, especially when low-temperature washes are used regularly.
  • Rinse + Spin: Defaults to two rinses and a spin.
  • Spin: Allows manual selection of spin length and speed.

Control Panel Features:

  • Program Selector: Used to choose the desired wash program.
  • Program and Function Status Display Window: Shows current program status, time, and selected options.
  • "Temp." Button: Adjusts the washing temperature.
  • "Spin" Button: Adjusts the spinning speed.
  • "Favourite" Button: Memorizes selected program parameters (temperature, rotational speed, etc.) for quick recall. A short press recalls the last memorized program, while a long press (3 seconds) saves the current settings.
  • "Options" Button: Selects additional functions for the current program.
  • "Delay End" Button: Sets a delayed start time for the wash program.
  • "Start/Pause" Button: Starts or pauses the wash cycle.
  • Child Lock Function: Locks all function buttons to prevent accidental changes.
  • Mute Function: Turns off all buzzing sounds except alarms.

Additional Functions:

  • Pre-wash: Enhances washing effects for heavily soiled clothes. Detergent can be added to both pre-wash and main wash compartments.
  • Extra Rinse: Adds an extra rinse cycle, increasing total program time.
  • Intensive: Prolongs washing time to strengthen washing effects and remove stubborn stains.
  • Delay End Function: Allows scheduling the machine to run at a later, more convenient time (e.g., during off-peak electricity hours). The delay time must be longer than the wash program length.
  • Automatic Weighting: The machine automatically adjusts program length based on the weight of clothes after startup.

Usage Features

Starting a Program:

  1. Load clothes into the drum and close the door.
  2. Add detergent to the appropriate compartments as per the User's Operation Manual.
  3. Turn on the power.
  4. Rotate the program selection button to the desired program. Ensure "off" is passed if the pointer's initial position is not "off".
  5. Select washing temperature and spin speed using "Temp." and "Spin" buttons.
  6. Press "Options" to select additional functions.
  7. After starting, the display shows program length (hours: minutes) and selected function options.

Addition Function Selection:

  • In standby mode, press "Options" to select additional functions. Only one function can be selected per press, and its icon flashes.
  • Once the program starts, functions cannot be changed.

Canceling a Program or Reselecting Options:

  1. Rotate the program selector to "Off" for 3 seconds to turn off the machine.
  2. Select a new program and options.
  3. Press "Start/Pause" to start the machine without adding extra detergent.

End of Program:

  • When the program finishes, "End" will be displayed. If no operation is performed for 2 minutes, the machine will turn off automatically.
  • To fully end: Rotate the program to "Off", close the tap, open the door, take out clothes, and slightly open the door to remove moisture.

Reload in Process:

  • To reload clothes during washing, press "Start/Pause".
  • If the reload icon lights up, the door can be opened. The remaining time and Door Lock icon will flash, then the Door Lock icon will go out.
  • If the reload icon does not light up or the Door Lock icon does not flash, it means the current temperature is over 50°C or the time for reloading has passed, so no clothes can be added.

Warnings:

  • Inlet Water Warning ("F01"): Appears if the tap is not opened or water pressure is too low.
  • Drainage Warning ("F03"): Appears if the pipe is squeezed or drainage is not smooth, or if the machine fails to drain completely for a long time.
  • Door Lock Icon: Lights up when the door is locked after the program starts. Unlocks automatically after program completion. During pause, if conditions allow, the door lock may unlock and its indicator light will go out. Do not forcibly open the door when the indicator light flashes to avoid injury.

Child Lock:

  • To activate: Press "Temp. +Spin" for 2 seconds when the program starts. The Child Lock icon will light up, and all function buttons will be shielded.
  • To deactivate: Repeat the same operation or turn the program selection button to "Off".
  • Child lock automatically unlocks after program completion.

Energy Consumption and Efficiency:

  • The cotton eco program is used to assess compliance with EU ecodesign legislation.
  • Power consumption in off-mode and left-on mode is 0.49W.
  • Most efficient programs generally run at lower temperatures and longer durations.
  • Loading the machine to its capacity contributes to energy and water savings.
  • Noise and remaining moisture content are influenced by spinning speed: higher speed leads to higher noise and lower remaining moisture content.
  • Product information and QY code are reflected in the energy consumption label.

Maintenance Features

Periodic Cleaning:

  • Regular cleaning, including optimal frequency, and limescale prevention procedures are recommended.
  • The Drum Clean program (95°C) helps remove dirt and bacterial residue that can breed in the machine, especially when low-temperature washes are used regularly.

Detergent Use:

  • Correct use of detergent, softeners, and other additives is crucial.
  • Do not apply excessive detergent, as this may adversely affect washing results.

Safety during Steam Programs:

  • During Allergy Steam and Baby Steam Care programs, if you see water mist on the door glass, do not touch the door glass or open the dispenser to prevent burns.
