play, the start of the next program begins to play.

When the FB button (<4) @ is pressed twice in
succession during play, the start of the program
before that being heard, begins to play.
REPEAT PLAY
“Repeat play’’ means repeat play of all the programs on
the disc or repeat play of only the desired programs us-
ing the random memory program search function.

[4] SCANNER PLAY OPERATIONS
“Scanner play’’ (music search) is’ a function which
rapidly plays the programs on the disc at about
30-second intervals.
a) FAST FORWARD SCANNER PLAY
Press the FF button (») @ while pressing the
PLAY button (»} @. The programs are skipped
and played for 1 second at a time. The music search
function continues only while the FF button (>>)
@ is kept depressed.
@) FAST BACKWARD SCANNER PLAY
Press the FB button (<<) @ while pressing the
PLAY button (») @. The programs are skipped
and played in the reverse direction at high speed
(fast backward). The music search function con-
tinues only while the FB button (<<) @ is kept
depressed.
e. During scanner play operations the PLAY (®) and FF
(®P) or FB (<4) indicators light together.
e Once the desired position on the disc has been
located with the scanner play operation, release the
FF (>) or FB (~4<4) button and normal play will con-
tinue.
