If the ribbon spring is weak or damaged, it should be replaced. It is also recommended to use Hitachi pneumatic tool lubricant. The issue could also be a cut or heavily worn Piston O-ring, in which case you should contact Hitachi for a replacement.

First, try increasing the air pressure, but do not exceed 120 psi (8.3 bar 8.5 kgf/cm2). You may also need to use Hitachi pneumatic tool lubricant. If the driver blade is worn, contact Hitachi for a replacement. Also the Piston O-ring could be worn or damaged.
