Why is my Hitachi Refrigerator not cooling properly?
    • L
      lancejohnsonAug 14, 2025
If your Hitachi refrigerator isn't cooling properly, several factors could be at play. If it was just installed, allow up to 4 hours, or even 24 hours in the summer, to reach optimal cooling. Ensure correct installation and set the freezer to -19 ºC or -18 ºC and the refrigerator to 3 ºC or 4 ºC. Minimize door openings and closings, and make sure the door seals completely without gaps. Also, ensure food or plastic bags aren't obstructing the door. If needed, adjust the freezer to -22 ºC or -21 ºC and the refrigerator to 2 ºC or 3 ºC.

    • B
      Blake WillisAug 20, 2025
If food is freezing in your Hitachi Refrigerator compartment, the temperature may be set too low. Adjust the temperature setting to between 3 ºC and 5 ºC. Also, avoid placing moist foods directly in front of the cold air outlet or against the back of a refrigerator compartment shelf. If food is touching the back left wall, either increase the temperature setting or move the food slightly away from the compartment partition.
