Cleaning and Maintenance Procedures

Overview

The LEGEE 7 is a sophisticated 4-in-1 robot designed for comprehensive floor cleaning, integrating vacuuming, dry mopping, water spraying, and wet mopping in a single pass. This device utilizes an exclusive FastBrush 4-stage cleaning system to achieve thorough and efficient results. Its powerful 2700Pa vacuum suction is capable of picking up small particles, fine dust, and hair, ensuring a clean surface before mopping.

For mopping, the LEGEE 7 employs a reciprocating movement mechanism that mimics human cleaning behavior. It applies a maximum mopping speed of 900 times per minute with an 1800g mopping force, effectively tackling stubborn dust and stains on the floor. Complementing this is a quad smart water sprayer equipped with a temperature sensor. This intelligent system ensures that just enough water is evenly sprayed to dissolve stains without leaving excessive water residue behind. The rear cleaning cloth, which moves in sync with the front cleaning cloth, then absorbs the dissolved stains and polishes the floor, leaving it bright and clean.

Navigation is a key feature of the LEGEE 7, powered by its unique LEGEE SLAM system. This advanced navigation integrates multiple technologies including Lidar, Encoder, Gyro, E-compass, and Position Estimation. The LDS (Laser Distance Sensor) collects highly accurate terrain information, which the robot uses to optimize its cleaning path. The LEGEE 7 cleans in a systematic 4.4 x 4.4 meter² sequence, optimizing its recharge and resume times to complete tasks efficiently across different room layouts.

The LEGEE 7 offers a versatile "Talent Clean" system with seven predefined cleaning modes and one customizable mode to suit various cleaning needs and room conditions. These modes include:

  • Standard Mode: A general-purpose mode suitable for everyday cleaning.
  • Strong Mode: Designed for deep cleaning, providing enhanced power.
  • ECO Mode: A power-saving mode that operates quietly.
  • Stain Remover Mode: An exclusive HOBOT patent, this mode specializes in cleaning stubborn stains. The robot first divides the area into 1.5x1.5 m² sections, sprays a generous amount of water to dissolve stains, and then returns to mop and absorb the dissolved residue, aiming for a "world-class clean."
  • Dry Mode: Ideal for cleaning hardwood floors without excessive moisture.
  • Pet Mode: Specifically designed for homes with pets, this mode increases vacuum power to collect light hairs and enhances water spray volume and mopping frequency to remove pawprints and stains.
  • Polish Mode: This mode increases water spray volume and mopping frequency while lowering moving speed to effectively remove old dirt and water marks, restoring the floor's brightness and shine.
  • Customized Mode: Allows users to adjust parameters to meet specific cleaning requirements.

The device can be controlled dynamically via the HOBOT LEGEE App, which connects through Wi-Fi (supporting both 2.4G and 5G networks). Users can select different Talent Clean modes, initiate or pause cleaning, and manage schedules. The app also provides access to cleaning diaries and memorized maps, enhancing the user experience.

For optimal performance and longevity, regular maintenance is crucial. The LEGEE 7 includes several user-friendly maintenance features:

  • Cliff Laser Sensors: These should be cleaned with a clean, dry soft cloth before each use or as prompted by the app.
  • Trash Bin: The trash bin should be emptied after each use or as reminded by the app. This involves lifting the top handle, opening the bin, and removing the filters to dump accumulated dust.
  • Screen Filter: The screen filter should be gently shaken to remove fine dust after each use. If needed, it can be rinsed with water and must be left to dry completely before reinstallation.
  • High Efficiency Filter: Similar to the screen filter, this filter should be shaken to remove fine dust after each use. It can also be rinsed if necessary and must be thoroughly dried before reinstallation. The high efficiency filter should be replaced when it becomes too dirty.
  • Side Brush: The side brush should be pulled off, gently rubbed with warm water to clean dirt, and then reinstalled. This should be done after each use.
  • Cleaning Cloths: The damp cleaning cloths should be removed after cleaning to prevent odor. They should be washed with detergent under 40°C (104°F) and laid flat to dry. Bleaching, tumble-drying, ironing, or dry cleaning are not recommended.
  • Bumper Adjustment: If the LEGEE is moving abnormally, the bumper can be adjusted. This involves pressing the right side of the bumper and pulling the left side to detach it, wiping it clean, and then restoring it to its original position.
  • Spraying Nozzle: If the spraying nozzle becomes clogged and cannot spray water, a push pin can be used to poke its center and remove water residue. For replacement, a small screwdriver is used to remove the screw and nozzle, allowing for a new nozzle to be installed and screwed back into place.

The LEGEE 7 also provides LED indications for various operational statuses, such as dry mopping (white light on), wet mopping (blue light on), spraying water (white and blue light flashing), low battery (orange light flashing), searching for charging station (orange and blue light flashing), battery charging (orange light on), battery fully charged (green light on), warning (light off with voice prompt), and connecting (white light flashing).

Safety is paramount, and the device is designed with precautions to ensure safe operation. It can be used by children aged 8 and above under supervision, and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision. Users are advised not to expose the device's electronic parts to damage and to seek authorized service for any repairs. The device should be used with the original power adapter, battery, and charging station, and stored in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight, flames, heat, humidity, and liquids. It is not waterproof. The laser distance sensor meets Class I Laser Products standards, ensuring safe operation without hazardous laser radiation.
