8.1 Basic principles
Proper and regular cleaning will ensure safe operation and extend the lifespan
of the device.
Warning! Switch off the device, unplug it and let it cool down before
cleaning and maintenance to avoid electric shock and burns.
Caution! Do not clean the device with any strong chemicals, alkali, abrasive
or disinfecting agents, as they may damage the surface of the device.
Caution! Do not immerse the device housing in water or other liquids.
• Do not install wet or damp components. All the components must be
thoroughly dry.
• Do not immerse the device body in water or other liquids.
• Wipe the body with a damp cloth, then wipe dry.
Caution! The components which come into contact with food are dishwasher
safe (excluding the blades) in temperatures not exceeding 70°C.
Cleaning the jug
1. Unplug the device from the power source.
2. Empty the jug and rell it with water.
3. Place the jug on the body and turn the knob several times to “P”.
4. Remove the jug from the base.
5. Pour the water out of the jug and clean the jug using water with some
dishwashing liquid.
6. All the other accessories which come into contact with food can be washed
in running water with some mild detergent, they are also dishwasher-safe
(excluding the blades).
Caution! Make sure the jug base is dry before placing the jug on it.
Cleaning the blades (shredder, blender)
1. Carefully grab the blades and rinse them in running water with some dishwashing
liquid.
2. Leave to dry.
