Vehicle care
213
Warning
The steel spare wheel is for
temporary use only. The vehicle
must not be driven at more than
80 km/h when this wheel is tted.
As soon as possible after
changing a wheel, have the
wheel nuts tightened with
a torque wrench to 140 Nm
(Newton metres) evenly in
the sequence shown (refer to
Step 30) as wheel nuts which
have not been tightened properly
could eventually allow the wheel
to come off while the vehicle is
moving.
Tyre sealant and
compressor kit
A
The vehicle may have an emergency
tyre sealant and compressor kit (A)
in place of a spare tyre. It is located
in the load compartment, under the
rear oor cover.
The tyre sealant and compressor
kit can be used to temporarily seal
a small puncture up to 6 mm in size
within the tread area of the tyre.
It can also be used to inate an
under-inated tyre.
After the tyre is sealed and inated
to the recommended pressure, the
vehicle must be driven for 8 km to
ensure the sealant is distributed
evenly.
Take the vehicle to a Holden Dealer
to have the tyre repaired or replaced
as soon as possible.
Warning
If the tyre has been separated
from the wheel, has damaged
sidewalls, or has a large
puncture, the tyre is too severely
damaged for the tyre sealant and
compressor kit to be effective.
Do not drive faster than 80 km/h.
