DIESEL FUEL SYSTEM
DRAINING WATER SEPARATOR
Drain the water separator immediately
if the water separator indicator light 9
illuminates.
1. With the engine off, open the bonnet
and loosen the drain plug located
on the left hand side of the engine
compartment (3-4 turns).
2. Use a suitable container to catch the
drained water.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON
position for 10 seconds, and then to
the OFF position for 10 seconds. Then,
once again turn the ignition switch to
the ON position for 10 seconds.
4. Tighten the drain plug rmly.
5. After starting the engine, check that there is no fuel leakage from the drain plug.
Also check that the water separator indicator light has turned off.
WARNING
• If the water separator requires frequent draining, have the fuel tank drained by your
Holden Dealer.
• Conrm that there are no combustible materials under the drain hose, and use a
suitable container to catch the drained water.
