Why my Homa AMS machine runs but does not pump?
    • W
      William ClarkAug 14, 2025
Several issues could be preventing your Homa Water Pump from pumping. First, make sure there is pumped fluid by opening the container intake or valves. Second, the intake could be blocked, so clean the intake, valve, suction port, or intake strainer. Third, the impeller/propeller might be blocked or obstructed; switch off the machine, secure it against being switched on again, and free the impeller/propeller. Fourth, a defective hose or piping could be the cause, so replace any defective parts. Lastly, intermittent operation could be due to a problem with the control panel, so check it.

What to do if Mechanical shaft seal leaks, sealing chamber monitor reports fault and switches the Homa AMS machine off?
    • C

If the mechanical shaft seal is leaking and the sealing chamber monitor reports a fault, causing the machine to switch off, consider these possible causes: Increased leakage when running in new mechanical shaft seals; in this case, change the oil. Defective sealing chamber cables may also be the issue; replace the moisture sensors. If the mechanical shaft seal is defective, replace it after contacting the factory.

What to do if my Homa AMS Water Pump motor starts, but the motor protection switch triggers shortly after start-up?
    • L
      Lisa BrownNov 9, 2025
Several factors can cause this issue. First, the thermal trigger on the motor protection switch might be incorrectly set; have a specialist compare the setting with the technical specifications and adjust it if necessary. Second, increased power consumption due to a major voltage drop could be the cause; in this case, have an electrician check the voltage on each phase and rewire if needed. Third, excessive voltage differences on the three phases may be the problem, requiring a specialist to inspect the connection and switching system. An incorrect direction of rotation can also cause this issue; try swapping two phases from the mains supply. Additionally, the impeller/propeller might be impeded by adhesive material, blockages, or solid matter, increasing current consumption; switch off th...

How to troubleshoot if Homa Water Pump machine will not start?
    • G
      gmillerNov 18, 2025
If your Homa Water Pump isn't starting, the issue might stem from a few potential causes. It could be due to an interrupted electricity supply, possibly a short circuit or ground connection in the cable or motor windings; in this case, have the motor and wires checked by a specialist and replaced if necessary. Another possibility is triggered fuses, the motor protection switch, and/or monitoring devices; have a specialist inspect the connections and correct them as necessary, adjust the motor protection switch according to the technical specifications, and reset the monitoring equipment, also, check that the impeller/propeller runs smoothly, cleaning or freeing it as needed. Lastly, the moisture sensors (if equipped) might have interrupted the power circuit; refer to the instructions for '...

What to do if my Homa Water Pump machine runs, but not at the stated operating levels?
    • C
      Christopher OnealNov 23, 2025
Several factors can affect the operating levels of your Homa Water Pump. Check for a blocked intake and clean the intake, valve, suction port, or intake strainer. Ensure the valve in the discharge line is fully open. The impeller/propeller might be blocked or obstructed; switch off the machine, secure it against being switched on again, and free the impeller/propeller. An incorrect direction of rotation can also cause this issue; replace two phases on the mains supply. Air in the system can be a problem; check the pipes, pressure shroud, and/or pump unit, and bleed if necessary. The machine might be pumping against excessive pressure; check the valve in the discharge line and open it completely if needed. Signs of wear can reduce performance, so replace worn parts. Defective hoses or pipin...

Why is my Homa Water Pump machine not running smoothly and is noisy?
    • T
      tgouldDec 1, 2025
There are several reasons why your Homa Water Pump might be running noisily and not smoothly. It could be running in an impermissible operation range, so check the operational data and correct if necessary, adjusting the operating conditions. A blocked suction port, strainer, or impeller/propeller can cause this issue, requiring you to clean these components. If the impeller is blocked, switch off the machine, secure it against being switched on again, and free the impeller. Inadmissible levels of gas in the pumped liquid might be the problem, requiring you to contact the factory. Two-phase operation necessitates a specialist to inspect the connection and correct it. An incorrect direction of rotation can also cause this; replace two phases on the mains supply. Signs of wear indicate that ...
