Why my Homa GRP Water Pump will not start?
    • D
      Dean NewtonJul 27, 2025
If your Homa Water Pump won't start, it could be due to a few reasons: * There might be an interruption in the electricity supply, possibly a short circuit or a ground connection in the cable or motor windings. In this case, have a specialist check the motor and wires and replace them if needed. * Fuses, the motor protection switch, or monitoring devices may have been triggered. Have a specialist inspect the connections and correct them, adjust the motor protection switch according to the technical specifications, and reset the monitoring equipment. Also, check that the impeller/propeller runs smoothly, cleaning or freeing it if necessary. * The moisture sensor might have interrupted the power circuit. Refer to the troubleshooting steps for 'Mechanical shaft seal leaks'.

What to do if Homa GRP Water Pump runs but does not pump?
    • A
      Andrea BrownAug 7, 2025
If your Homa Water Pump runs but doesn't pump, here's what you can check: * Make sure there is pumped fluid available by opening the container intake or valves. * The intake might be blocked. Clean the intake, valve, suction port, or intake strainer. * The impeller/propeller could be blocked or obstructed. Switch off the machine, ensure it cannot be switched back on, and free the impeller/propeller. * There may be a defective hose or piping. Replace any defective parts. * If the operation is intermittent, check the control panel.

What to do if mechanical shaft seal leaks in Homa GRP?
    • C
      Cory MillerAug 21, 2025
If the mechanical shaft seal of your Homa Water Pump leaks, and the sealing chamber monitor reports a fault, causing the machine to switch off: * If there is increased leakage when operating with new mechanical shaft seals, change the oil. * If the seal chamber probe is defective, replace the moisture sensors. * If the mechanical shaft seal is defective, replace it after contacting the factory.

What to do if motor protection switch triggers shortly after Homa GRP start-up?
    • M
      markolsonNov 1, 2025
If the motor protection switch triggers shortly after starting your Homa Water Pump, consider these potential causes: 1. The thermal trigger on the motor protection switch may be incorrectly set. Have a specialist compare the trigger setting with the technical specifications and adjust it if necessary. 2. Increased power consumption due to a major voltage drop. Have an electrician check the voltage on each phase and rewire if necessary. 3. Excessive voltage differences on the three phases. Have a specialist inspect the connection and the switching system and correct it as necessary. 4. Incorrect direction of rotation. Swap the U and V power leads. 5. The impeller/propeller is impeded by adhesive material, blockages, and/or solid matter, leading to increased current consumption. Switc...

Why Homa GRP runs, but not at the stated operating levels?
    • M
      Michael FlowersNov 10, 2025
If your Homa Water Pump is running, but not at the stated operating levels, consider the following: * Check for a blocked intake. Clean the intake, valve, suction port, or intake strainer. * Ensure the valve in the discharge line is fully open. * Inspect the impeller/propeller for blockages. Switch off the machine, secure it against being switched on again, and free the impeller/propeller. * Verify the correct direction of rotation by swapping the U and V power leads. * Check for air in the system. Inspect the pipes, pressure shroud, and/or pump unit, and bleed if necessary. * Ensure the machine isn't pumping against excessive pressure by checking the valve in the discharge line and opening it completely if necessary. * Look for signs of wear and replace worn parts. * Repl...

How to fix a noisy Homa GRP that doesn't run smoothly?
    • D
      David ThompsonNov 15, 2025
If your Homa Water Pump is not running smoothly and is noisy, it could be due to several reasons: * The machine may be running in an impermissible operation range. Check the operational data and correct if necessary, and/or adjust the operating conditions. * The suction port, strainer, and/or impeller/propeller may be blocked. Clean these components. * The impeller may be blocked. Switch off the machine, secure it against being switched on again, and free the impeller. * If there are inadmissible levels of gas in the pumped liquid, a defective motor bearing, contact the factory. * For two-phase operation, have a specialist inspect the connection and correct it as necessary. * If the machine is installed with mechanical strain, check the installation and use rubber spacers if n...
