How to fix Homelite UT10560 when engine will not start?
    • S
      Sheena JimenezAug 15, 2025
If your Homelite Chainsaw engine will not start, clean or replace the spark plug and reset the spark plug gap. To clear excess fuel, turn the ignition switch OFF, remove the spark plug, move the choke lever to the run position, and pull the starter cord 15 to 20 times. Clean and reinstall the spark plug. Set the ignition switch to run, push and fully release the primer bulb 7 times, and pull the starter three times with the choke lever at run. If it doesn't start, move the choke lever to FULL choke and repeat the starting procedure. If it still fails, repeat the procedure with a new spark plug.

    • E
      erika66Aug 18, 2025
If your Homelite Chainsaw engine starts and runs, but the chain is not rotating, the chain brake might be engaged, the chain tension might be too tight, the guide bar and chain might be assembled incorrectly, the guide bar and/or chain might be damaged, or the drive sprocket teeth might be damaged. Disengage the chain brake. Adjust the chain tension. Inspect the guide bar and chain for damage. If needed, contact an authorized service center for drive sprocket replacement.

Why does my Homelite UT10560 engine not reach full speed and emit smoke?
    • H
      Heidi RamirezAug 21, 2025
If your Homelite Chainsaw engine doesn't reach full speed and emits excessive smoke, it could be due to an incorrect lubricant/fuel mixture, a dirty air filter, or the carburetor needing adjustment. Ensure you're using fresh fuel with the correct 2-cycle lubricant mix ratio. Clean the air filter. If the problem persists, the carburetor may require adjustment by an authorized service center.

Why is my Homelite UT10560 bar and chain running hot and smoking?
    • J
      johnsonmatthewAug 26, 2025
If your Homelite Chainsaw bar and chain are running hot and smoking, it could be due to an empty chain oil tank, chain tension that is too tight, or a malfunctioning oiler. Ensure the oil tank is filled each time you fill the fuel tank. Adjust the chain tension. Run the saw at half throttle for 30 to 45 seconds, then stop it and check for lubricant dripping. If there's no lubricant, contact an authorized service center.
