1. INTRODUCTION
EXPLANATION OF ULTRASOUND DIATHERMY
The ultrasound diathermy for use in applying therapeutic deep heat for selected medical conditions is a
device that applies to specific areas of body ultrasonic energy at a frequency 1 M(Hz) and that is
intended to generate deep heat within body tissues for the treatment.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
The indications for use include the following Relief of pain ;
Muscle spasms ;
Joint contractors ;
Not for the treatment of malignancies.
CONTRAINDICATION
The ultrasound diathermy should not be used for the treatment of malignancies.
