What to do if Homewerks 21-B42-WYHW-Z Plumbing Product water does not completely shut off?
- CCatherine WallsJul 28, 2025
If your Homewerks Plumbing Product faucet doesn't completely shut off, it might be due to a dirty, stuck, or broken rubber valve seat. Here's what to do: 1. Turn off the water supply to the leaking faucet. 2. Remove the handle, loosen the bonnet, and lift out the cartridge assembly. 3. Check the rubber valve seat for debris. If present, remove it. Gently push the seat to ensure smooth movement. Ensure the spring is correctly placed (smaller end up) beneath the valve seat. If the rubber valve seat is worn or broken, replace the cartridge by calling customer service. 4. Replace the cartridge in the faucet body, aligning the ridges on the cartridge bonnet with the grooves on the faucet body. Tighten the bonnet securely. 5. Re-install the handle.
