For optimum performance
Blade Type Cutting length Application

branches up to 25 mm diameter such as the following:
– Hardwood hedges: Blackthorn, Hawthorn, Berberis
– Softwood hedges: Lleylandii, Cotoneaster, Buxus

Rear handle not fully located Check handle is positioned in 0° or 90°

material
Low battery capacity Ensure battery is fully charged before use
Battery not fully inserted Ensure battery is inserted correctly
Machine runs
intermittently
On/Off switch defective Have the power tool repaired by an authorised
service dealer
Low battery capacity Ensure battery is fully charged before use
Battery not fully charged Check battery display – charge battery if necessary
Bale bar and/or trigger not fully
engaged
Engage both triggers fully
Poor cutting performance Cutting blade damaged/blunt Carry out blade resharpening by a Honda authorised
service dealer
Excessive vibrations/
noise
Cutting blade damaged Replace the blade through your Honda authorised
service dealer
Debris build up on blade Clean blade
Blade nuts loose Tighten nut bolts
If you are unable to resolve the problem using the troubleshooting guide then please contact your dealer in the first
instance.
After use/Storage
f Always transport machine with safety guard fitted.
f Always transport machine without battery fitted.
f Ensure the machine is fully secure during
transportation and take care not to bend the blade.
Correct storage is essential for maintaining the life of
the product. If possible, avoid storage areas with high
humidity which could cause rust or corrosion.
End of season storage: Remove battery and store both
machine and battery in a dry safe place away from direct
sunlight.
Ensure the blade cutting device cover is fitted before
storing away.
Store the hedge trimmer out of reach of children or
unauthorised persons.
Do not place objects on top of the machine.
When storing for extended periods, thoroughly clean the
product beforehand.
Lubricate before storage.
