Using Child Restraints with
Tethers
Your Honda is equipped with an
attachment point for a child restraint
system that uses a top tether. The
tether attachment point is located on
the panel behind the passenger's
seat-back.
1. Adjust the passenger's seat fully
forward to make room behind the
seat-back.
2. Remove the plug with a small flat-
tipped screw driver or finger nail
file.
3. Install the tether hardware that
came with the child seat.
Tighten to:
22 N-m (2.2 kg-m , 16 Ib-ft)
Make sure to route the tether
through the space between the head
restraint and seat.
If you are not sure how to install the
bracket, have it installed by your
Honda dealer.
