3. Start the snowthrowing operation only after the engine has warmed up
and is running smoothly.
l Adjust the snow discharge chute to avoid hitting the operator,
bystanders, windows, and other objects with thrown snow. Stay clear
of the snow discharge chute while the engine is running.
l If the snow discharge chute becomes clogged, stop the engine and use
a trowel or long wooden stick to unclog it. Never put your hand into the
snow discharge chute while the engine is running; serious personal in-
jury could result.
NOTE:
l For most efficient snowthrowing, clear snow before it melts and
refreezes.
l When you are operating the snowthrower over bumpy ground, push
down on the handle to raise the snowthrowing mechanism above
ground level.
