Why Honda HSS928ATD starter operates but engine won't start?
    • C
      christopher52Aug 8, 2025
If the starter operates but the Honda Snow Blower engine doesn't start, several factors could be at play. Ensure the throttle is in the FAST position and the choke is correctly set (OFF for a hot start, ON for a cold start). Check that the fuel valve is ON and the sediment cup isn't obstructed. Stale fuel can also be a culprit, so use fresh fuel and drain the carburetor and sediment cup. Make sure the spark plug cap is connected, the spark plug is free of deposits, and has the proper gap. For HSS1332ATD models, confirm the auger lock isn't activated by removing any debris from the auger.

Why does my Honda HSS928ATD Snow Blower have low power?
    • S
      Stephanie HayesAug 18, 2025
If your Honda Snow Blower engine has low power, consider these points: Reduce ground speed when blowing wet, deep snow. Ensure the throttle lever is in the FAST position. Reduce the snow blowing swath in wet, deep conditions. Clear any obstructions from the discharge chute. Check that the spark plug cap is secure and the spark plug is free of deposits with the correct gap. Also, ensure you are using fresh fuel; drain the carburetor and sediment cup if necessary.

What to do if Honda HSS928ATD engine runs but doesn’t move?
    • X
      xjonesAug 27, 2025
If the Honda Snow Blower engine runs but the machine doesn't move, check that the drive clutch lever is in the ENGAGED position. Also, verify that the shift lever is not in “N” (Neutral); it should be in “F” (Forward) or “R” (Reverse). If these steps don't resolve the issue, the drive clutch lever mechanism or cable might not be functioning correctly, and it may require servicing.
