  If your Hondex Marine Equipment won't turn on, there are several potential causes. The battery voltage may be lower than the standard 11V, in which case you should recharge the battery. There might be a poor connection of the power connector, so retighten it, remove any rust or dust, and replace it if corroded; also, consider replacing the power cable or the connector on the unit. Ensure the power is connected with the correct polarity (+ and -). A cut wire inside the power cable would require a new power cable. Finally, a blown fuse will require sending the unit in for repair.

Why is there too much noise on my Hondex Marine Equipment?

  If you're experiencing too much noise with your Hondex Marine Equipment, it could be due to several reasons. One possibility is that the sensitivity is set too high; in this case, lower the sensitivity or set it to auto gain control. Another cause might be interference from another vessel's echo sounder, which should disappear once the other vessel moves away. Engine noise can also be a factor, so try changing the routing of cables such as transducer and power cables, keeping them as far from the engine as possible.
