USE
While in use, protect your PPE against all risks connected with the work environment thermal, elec-
trical or mechanical shocks, acid discharges, etc...
Where the anchorage device is used as part of a fall arrest system, the user shall be provided with
means to limit the maximum dynamic forces applied on the him/her when stopping a fall, at a
maximum value of 6 kN.
Only a fall arrest harness that complies with EN 361 is authorized for use in a fall arrest system.
The maximum load likely to be transmitted by PPE to the structure is 10kN; the use direction
should be horizontal or vertical.
If anomalies are found, the device should not be put to use until an expert authorizes its reuse in
writing.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
9 Do not connect more than one karabiner to the anchoring ring
9 Do not use the anchorage point as a means of handling or lifting (except in the case of using
tripod or gantry)
9 For provisional attachment using a loop of webbing, never lock the two end rings on a vertical
support by a connector without using a stop.
9 The attachment point must not be lower than the user’s feet, in the case of a connection to
the anchor at the low point of the fall arrester, check that the fall arrester is compatible and
complies with this method of use (Factor 2 drop)
9 When in use the adjustable anchor strap must be tensed without any slack.
9 Provide a 30mm sliding or displacement of the adjustable anchor strap in the event of a fall
CHECKING
Before each use, it is advisable to carry out an in-depth visual examination in order to assure the
integrity of the PPE and any other equipment that could be associated with it (connector, lanyard,
etc) and take any steps needed to carry rescue in total safety. In the event of your product being
damaged, consult the manufacturer or his agent. If you have any doubts regarding the safety of
the product, or if the product has been used to arrest a fall, it is essential for your safety that the
PPE be withdrawn from service and either returned to the manufacturer or to a qualified repair
centre for checking or destruction. After examination the centre will or will not issue a written au-
thorization for reusing the PPE.
It is strictly prohibited to modify or repair a piece of PPE your self; only the manufacturer or a repair
centre are able to carry out these repairs.
In the case of a system supplied with built-in equipment, it is prohibited to replace any one of the
components of this system.
Before each use, you must check the operating condition of the equipment:
9 No incipient tears
9 No deterioration (tearing, wear, bums, etc...)
9 No deformation,
9 The integrity of the seams, splices, sleeves, etc...
9 The correct condition of the metal parts
9 The state of the attaching parts (shafts, pins, split pins, nuts, etc ...)
9 The operation of the adjusting device and the locking system
ANCHORAGE POINT
If possible, to be used with achorage devices (conformed to the EN 795:2012 standard) or struc-
tural anchor. that is to say elements fixed to last, to a structure (wall, post…) For installation to a
concrete support, check that it is in good condition with no visible cracking.
Install the anchorage point so that:
9 it offers minimum strength of 12 kN
9 It is situated above the operator
9 It is in the vertical axis to the work surface (maximum angle ±30°)
9 It is totally suitable for the equipment anchorage device.
9 It has no sharp edges.
