This document provides a Quick Start Guide and safety information for the HONOR KSA-LX9 device.

Function Description:

The HONOR KSA-LX9 is a mobile device designed for communication and data services. It supports dual card dual standby single pass, meaning it can accommodate two SIM cards but only one can be active for calls or data services at any given time. This feature helps reduce power consumption and increase standby time. The device is equipped with basic operations for power management, including power on, power off, and restart functions. It also includes a Micro-USB port for charging and data transfer, and a card slot for SIM and microSD cards.

Usage Features:

  • Power Management:
    • To power on, press and hold the power button until the screen turns on.
    • To power off, press and hold the power button, then touch the power off icon.
    • To restart, press and hold the power button, then touch the restart icon.
    • Forcibly restart by pressing and holding the power button for 10 or more seconds.
  • SIM Card Installation: The device supports both single-SIM and dual-SIM configurations. An eject pin is provided for inserting and removing the card tray. Users must ensure correct card alignment and a level card tray to prevent damage.
  • Dual-SIM Functionality: For dual-SIM devices, only one SIM card can be active for calls or data services at a time. Call forwarding between SIMs can be enabled to avoid missed calls.
  • Tips App: A pre-installed "Tips" app helps users learn about the device's features.
  • Regulatory Information Access: Legal information, safety information, authentication info, and certification logos can be viewed in the device's Settings menu under System > About phone.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Safety: The device contains a built-in battery that should not be replaced by the user. Contact an authorized service center for battery replacement. Keep the device and battery away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
  • Environmental Considerations:
    • Avoid using the device in dusty, smoky, damp, or dirty environments, or near magnetic fields, to prevent damage to internal circuits.
    • Do not use, store, or transport the device where flammables or explosives are stored (e.g., gas stations, oil depots, chemical plants) to prevent explosion or fire risks.
    • Ideal operating temperatures are 0 °C to 35 °C, and ideal storage temperatures are -20 °C to +45 °C.
  • Charging Safety:
    • Use only approved or compatible power adapters, chargers, or batteries.
    • Ensure the power adapter is plugged into an easily accessible socket near the device.
    • Unplug the charger from electrical outlets and the device when not in use.
  • Disposal and Recycling: The device, battery, and accessories should be disposed of according to local regulations, not in normal household waste. Users are responsible for using designated collection points for separate recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and batteries.
  • Hearing Protection: To prevent possible hearing damage, avoid listening at high volume levels for long periods.
  • Pacemaker Safety: Maintain a minimum distance of 15 cm between the device and a pacemaker to prevent interference. If using a pacemaker, hold the device on the side opposite the pacemaker and do not carry it in your front pocket.
  • Aircraft Usage: Use the device in an aircraft only according to provided instructions, as wireless devices can disrupt networks and pose hazards.
  • Driving Safety: Observe local laws and regulations; do not use the wireless device while driving to reduce accident risks.
