GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Thisappliancemustbegrounded.Ifitshouldmalfunctionorbreakdown,grounding
providesapathofleastresistanceforelectricalcurrenttoreducetheriskofelectric
shock. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding
conductor(C)andgroundingplug(A).Theplugmustbepluggedintoanappropriate
outlet(B)thatisproperlyinstalledandgroundedinaccordancewithalllocalcodes
andordinances.
DANGER: Improper connectionoftheequipment-groundingconductorcan
resultintheriskofelectricshock.Checkwithaqualifiedelectricianorserviceperson
ifyouareindoubtastowhethertheoutletisproperlygrounded.Donotmodifytheplug
providedwiththeappliance-ifitwillnotfittheoutlet,haveaproperoutletinstalledby
aqualifiedelectrician.Thisapplianceisforuseonanominal120voltcircuitandhasa
groundingplugthatlooksliketheplug(A)illustratedinsketch(Fig.3.1).Atemporary
adapter(D)maybeusedtoconnectthisplugtoa2-polereceptacle(E)ifaproperly
groundedoutletisnotavailable(Fig.3.2).Thetemporaryadaptershouldbeusedonly
untilaproperlygroundedoutlet(B)canbeinstalledbyaqualifiedelectrician(Fig.3.1).
Thegreencoloredrigidear,lug,orthelike(F)extendingfromtheadaptermustbe
connectedtoapermanentground(G)suchasaproperlygroundedoutletboxcover
(Fig.3.2).Whenevertheadapterisused,itmustbeheldinplacebyametalscrew.

WALL INLET VALVE
To start your Power Canister, simply plug your hose
end into any wall inlet valve. Both types of wall
valves (Standard (A) - Corded Hose; Electrified (B)
- Cordless Hose) are shown in Fig 3.3.
