      If your Hot Spot Hot Tub is completely inoperative, there are several potential causes. First, check the power source to ensure the spa is properly plugged in and that there is no power failure. Also, inspect the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) and reset it if it has tripped; if it continues to trip, call for service. Other possible causes include a tripped heater high-limit thermostat (disconnect power for at least thirty seconds to reset it, and check for a clogged filter), an open pressure switch (check for a clogged filter), low water level (add water), clogged filters or jet intake screens (clean them), closed jet nozzles or air valve (open them), or activated spa lock (deactivate it). Suspended particles or organic matter might be the issue; adjust the pH and/or alkalinity to the recommended range. Consider if the water is overused or old; if so, run the jet pump and clean the filter. Excessive organics can be resolved by draining and refilling the spa. Bacteria or algae growth requires shocking the spa with sanitizer.
