  If the lightning bolt sign on your HOTO Measuring Instruments is flashing quickly, it could be due to several reasons. First, the battery might be low, so try charging the device. Alternatively, the laser reflective signal might be too weak, especially when measuring black surfaces. In this case, try measuring a target with high reflectivity or use the laser measure with a reflective board. Conversely, if the signal is too strong due to highly reflective surfaces, measure a target with low reflectivity or use a reflective board. Lastly, ensure you are using the laser measure within its specified temperature range.
