Before You Throw Away Your Old Freezer:
Take off the freezer lid.
Leavethebasketsinplacesothatchildrenmaynot
easilyclimbinside.
PROPER DISPOSAL OF YOUR OLD APPLIANCE
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. For
personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded.
Thepowercordofthisapplianceisequippedwitha
3-prong(grounding)plugwhichmateswithastandard
3-prong(grounding)walloutlettominimizethe
possibilityofelectricshockhazardfromthisappliance.
Havethewalloutletandcircuitcheckedbyaqualified
electriciantomakesuretheoutletisproperly
grounded.
Whereastandard2-prongwalloutletisencountered,it
isyourpersonalresponsibilityandobligationtohaveit
replacedwithaproperlygrounded3-prongwalloutlet.
The freezer should always be plugged into its own
individualelectricaloutletwhichhasavoltagerating
thatmatchestheratingplate.
A115VoltAC,60Hz,15-or20-ampfused,grounded
electricalsupplyisrequired.Itisrecommendedthata
separatecircuitservingonlyyourfreezerbeprovided.
Useanoutletthatcannotbeturnedoffbyaswitch.
Donotuseanextensioncord.Thisprovidesthebest
performanceandalsopreventsoverloadinghouse
wiringcircuitswhichcouldcauseafirehazardfrom
overheatedwires.
Neverunplugyourfreezerbypullingonthepower
cord.Alwaysgripplugfirmlyandpullstraightoutfrom
the outlet.
Immediatelydiscontinueuseofadamagedsupply
cord.Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmustbe
replacedbyaqualifiedserviceprofessionalwithan
authorizedservicepartfromthemanufacturer.
Whenmovingthefreezerawayfromthewall,be
carefulnottorolloverordamagethepowercord.
