Overview

This document provides instructions for use of a freezer appliance, covering its installation, functions, usage tips, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The freezer is designed to store frozen food, make ice cubes, and freeze fresh food. It incorporates several advanced functions to optimize performance and energy efficiency.

Smart Display*: This function helps save energy by turning off the display after two seconds of inactivity. To adjust temperature or use other functions, the display needs to be reactivated by pressing any button. It automatically disables after a power failure and reduces energy consumption from the external display.

ProFreeze: This function maintains the correct temperature in two scenarios:

  • Door opened for a while: Activates when door opening causes the internal temperature to rise, ensuring safe food storage until optimal conditions are restored.
  • Fresh food stored in the freezer: Activates when fresh food is placed in the freezer, remaining active until optimal freezing conditions are reached to ensure the best freezing quality with minimal power consumption. Its duration varies based on food quantity, ambient temperature, and existing food load.

On/Stand-by: This function allows you to turn the freezer compartments On or put them in Stand-by mode. Pressing and holding the On/Stand-by button for 3 seconds puts the product in Stand-by, during which the internal light does not work. This operation does not disconnect the appliance from the power supply. To switch it On again, simply press the button.

Black Out Alarm: After a power blackout, the appliance monitors the freezer temperature. If the temperature rises above freezing level when electricity is resupplied, the Black Out indicator turns on, the Alarm indicator blinks, and an acoustical alarm sounds. To reset, press the Stop Alarm button once. If food is unfrozen but cold, consume it within 24 hours. If food has thawed and refrozen, it should be disposed of due to degraded quality and potential unsafety.

Temperature Alarm: An acoustic alarm sounds, and the temperature indicator (°C) blinks when:

  • The appliance is connected to power after prolonged disuse.
  • The freezer compartment temperature is too high.
  • The quantity of fresh foods loaded exceeds the rating plate's indication.
  • The freezer door has been left open for too long. To mute the buzzer, press the Stop Alarm button once. The alarm indicator turns off when the freezer reaches a temperature below -10°C, and the temperature set indicator stops blinking, showing the chosen setting.

Door Open Alarm: The Alarm icon blinks, and an acoustic alarm sounds if the door is left open for more than 2 minutes. To disengage, close the door or press the Stop Alarm button once.

Fast Freeze*: This function optimizes appliance performance for freezing fresh food. It should be activated 24 hours before placing fresh food in the freezer. After placing food, 24 hours on Fast Freeze is usually sufficient, and the function automatically deactivates after 50 hours. For small amounts of food, it can be deactivated after a few hours to save energy.

Eco Night Function (Night Time Rate)*: This function concentrates energy consumption during reduced rate hours (typically at night) in countries with time-based multi-rate electricity systems. To activate, press the button at the reduced rate start time. When the Eco Night indicator is ON, the function is active, adapting energy consumption to use less energy during the day. It remains on until deactivated or in case of a power failure/appliance switch-off.

Freeze Control*: An advanced technology that minimizes temperature fluctuations in the freezer compartment using an innovative air system, independent of the fridge. This reduces freeze burns and preserves food quality and color. It operates within a temperature range of -22°C to -24°C. If the freezer temperature is set warmer than -22°C, it automatically adjusts to -22°C. If the user modifies the temperature outside the working range, the function switches off. It is inhibited when Fast Freezing is engaged.

Automatic No Frost: This product defrosts automatically based on usage conditions and ambient humidity. No Frost freezers circulate chilled air, preventing ice formation and eliminating the need for manual defrosting. This keeps frozen items from sticking, labels legible, and storage space clear. Combined with ProFreeze, it directs cooling power efficiently, optimizing energy efficiency.

Ice Mate*: This feature allows you to make ice cubes. The ice cube tray can be removed by pulling it towards you. Fill it with potable water up to 2/3 of its capacity, then place it back in the freezer compartment. Wait approximately 4 hours for ice cubes to form. The Ice Mate is removable and can be placed horizontally anywhere in the freezer or taken out if not needed. To take out ice cubes, ensure the storage bin is under the ice tray, twist one lever clockwise until the tray twists slightly, and the cubes fall into the bin. Repeat for the other half. To remove the entire Ice Mate, lift it slightly and pull it towards you.

LED Light System*: The freezer compartment uses LED lights for better illumination and very low energy consumption. If the LED light system malfunctions, contact Service for replacement.
