System board repair kit N19085-001
Before removing thesystem board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 36).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 36).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 38).
4. Remove the solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 32).
5. Remove the fan assembly (see Fan assembly on page 45).
6. Remove the I/O board bracket (see I/O board on page 47).
7. If you need to replace the system board, remove the heat sink (see Heat sink on page 49).
NOTE: If you are not replacing the system board, do not remove the heat sink.
Remove the system board:
1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
● Display cable (1) (ZIF)
● Power connector cable (2)
● I/O board cable from I/O board (ZIF) (3)
● Left speaker cable (4)
● Backlight cable (ZIF) (5)
● Card reader cable (ZIF) (6)
● Fan cable (7)
● Wireless antenna cables from the WLAN module (8)
● Fan cable (9)
● Keyboard cable (ZIF) (10)
● Touchpad cable (ZIF) (11)
