you
perform
arithmetic
with
unit
objects,
the
HP
48
keeps
track of
the
units
for
you.
When
different
unit
objects
of
the
same
category
are
added
(or
subtracted)
the
result
is
automatically
converted
to
the
units
of
the
last
unit
object
entered
(the
level
1
object).
Example:
Add
up
the
following
lengths
and
report
the
answer
in
centimeters:
41
mm,
19
in,
5
ft,
and
12
cm
Step
1:
Enter
the
unit
objects
onto
the
stack.

units.
Because
the
level
1
object
has

its
unit,
each
addition
converts
the
total
